The Bulgarian Ministry of Finance has published the draft budget for 2025 and the medium-term budget forecast for the period 2025-2028. Expenditure will not exceed 40% of GDP.

The structural plan shows that the objective is to gradually reduce the deficit
The only exception is in 2027, when the deficit will exceed 3% due to the acquisition of military equipment.

For the period 2025-2028, the deficit under the consolidated fiscal programme will vary between 2.2% and 3% of GDP. Annual inflation according to the European methodology will be 2.4% in 2025 and 2% thereafter. GDP will grow by around 2%. | BGNES
