French company Hermès has announced its financial results for the full year 2024.
The group's revenue amounted to 15.2 billion euros last year, up 15% compared to 2023.
This is mainly due to the strong performance of the European market, although all geographies are seeing good growth in 2024, reports Euronews.
Operating income reached €6.2bn in 2024, while the group's share of net profit amounted to €4.6bn.
Sales amounted to €4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Hermès' market capitalisation rose to around US$300.1 billion, approaching that of rival LVMH at US$357.6 billion.
In 2024, the group has increased its workforce by approximately 2,300 people, which includes about 1,300 employees in France.
Axel Dumas, Executive Chairman of Hermès: "In 2024, in a more uncertain economic and geopolitical context, the robust performance of the results testifies to the strength of the Hermès model and the resilience of the house teams, to whom I offer my heartfelt thanks.
"While preserving the Group's fundamental balances and its responsibility as an employer, the house is staying the course, more attached than ever to its core values of quality, creativity and savoir-faire." | BGNES
