Slayer's Kerry King is excited about his solo band's first tour

The tour kicks off January 15 in San Francisco and wraps February 22 in Las Vegas, with Municipal Waste as special guests and Alien Weaponry as supporters.

Slayer guitarist Kerry King is hitting the road with his new solo band for a 28-date North American tour beginning in 2025. The tour kicks off Jan. 15 in San Francisco and ends Feb. 22 in Las Vegas, with Municipal Waste as special guests and Alien Weaponry as supporters.

Reflecting on the tour, King expressed his excitement about playing in New York and the Bay Area, where several members of the band live. "We'll be visiting some places for the first time, which will be great," he said.
King hinted at a carefully planned setlist to balance the energy of the thrash-heavy lineup. "I don't want people to get burned out with two heavy hitters playing before us," he noted.
King's solo debut album, From Hell I Rise, released in May 2024, was written entirely by him and produced by Josh Wilbur. The band features vocalist Mark Osegueda, guitarist Phil Demle, bassist Kyle Sanders and drummer Paul Bostaph.

Since their live debut in May 2024, the band has played festivals such as Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple and toured Europe, performing at major events such as Hellfest and Download. Fans can expect an energetic show from one of the legends of thrash metal. | BGNES
