The National Assembly approves at first reading the ban on vapes for children. The decision bans the sale and advertising of products containing narcotic substances, precursors or their analogues.

The Parliamentary Group of GERB - SDS proposed a draft decision on drafting legislative measures to ban the advertising of these products.

Within a month, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health should propose the relevant legislative changes. The responsible institutions will report to the Parliament data on checks under this law. There will be an additional special unit within the Ministry of Interior to monitor compliance with the ban around the clock.

Amendments to the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Act were also adopted at first reading. The bill, presented by Kostadin Angelov, introduces a complete ban on the marketing of electronic cigarettes containing or not containing nicotine. | BGNES
