A huge Albanian flag is waving near the Macedonian capital Skopje, BGNES reports.
The flag of the Republic of Albania, about 10 metres high, has been flying over the Skopje village of Garcec, on the western slopes of Mount Vodno, for more than two weeks.
It is not clear who planted the flag. There has been no reaction from the regime of Hristijan Mitskoski.
BGNES recalls that the flag of North Macedonia was desecrated in Skopje during the celebrations of the Albanian national holiday last year, on 28 November. Columns of cars passed through the main streets of the Macedonian capital Skopje that night, Albanian flags flying from them. Police then detained several people for defacing national symbols, firing firearms, arson, tearing and trampling on the Macedonian flag. The crimes were recorded on video and freely spread on social networks. | BGNES
