Manchester United beat FCSB and remain the only team without a defeat in the Europa League

Manchester United successfully completed the main phase of the Europa League, after defeating Romanian FCSB 2-0 away in their last match. After the losses of Lazio and Galatasaray, the "Red Devils" remain the only team without a defeat in the competition.

In Bucharest, Ruben Amorim's team dominated for almost the entire match and deservedly achieved a clear victory. In the first half, the guests made several mistakes, but after the break, Diogo Dalot opened the scoring from close range after a good assist from Kobe Meino. The young England international, who played in a more advanced position than usual, made it 2-0 himself after a pass from Alejandro Garnacho in the 68th minute.

Thus, United recorded a fifth consecutive success in the Europa League and finished in third place in the final standings. This means that the English giants qualified directly for the round of 16, where they will meet one of Midtjylland, Real Sociedad, AZ Alkmaar or Galatasaray. The other favorite in the competition, Tottenham, finished in fourth place, and so the two English teams could meet in the final.

Directly qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament are Lazio, Athletic Bilbao, Manchester United, Tottenham, Eintracht, Lyon, Olympiacos and Rangers. The play-offs will include Bodo/Glimt, Anderlecht, FCSB, Ajax, Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, Roma, Viktoria Plzen, Ferencváros, Porto, AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Union Saint-Gillois, PAOK, Twente and Fenerbahçe.
