Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the United States to step up sanctions against Russia, saying Moscow has violated agreements made during separate talks with Washington officials in Saudi Arabia to end strikes on energy facilities and at sea.
"I think we have come to the point of increasing the impact of sanctions because the Russians are breaking what they promised America. At least what America has told us, and publicly," Zelensky told a news conference in Kiev. "We strongly hope that President (Donald) Trump has all the appropriate tools to increase sanctions pressure on the Russian side," the Ukrainian leader added. | BGNES, AFP
