"The swift formation of a government is essential for Kosovo to advance important reforms in all sectors that will improve the quality and conditions of life of the people of Kosovo," the EU's Pristina office told Radio "Free Europe".
The EU is closely following developments on the constitution of the National Assembly and the formation of a cabinet, and hopes that this process will be completed soon.
Kosovo has failed to form a new parliament twice this week due to procedural disputes between political parties that won seats in the 9 February elections.
It is unclear whether the disagreements between the parliamentary parties will be resolved before the resumption of Thursday's adjourned session, scheduled for Saturday 19 April. | BGNES
