One of the parties that supports Zhelyazkov's coalition government in Bulgaria - the Movement for Rights and Freedoms with leader Ahmed Dogan announced that it is withdrawing its support for the cabinet.

The party, which has represented Bulgaria's ethnic Turks for the past 35 years, split last year and its two factions - Ahmed Dogan's and oligarch Delyan Peevski's - are arguing over the party's name.

The coalition government includes three political formations - Boiko Borissov's GERB, showman Slavi Trifonov's There is Such a Nation and the party of former communists, BSP. However, all three do not have the required majority of 121 votes in the 240-seat parliament.

The remaining votes have so far been secured by Dogan's DPS party, but in the various votes so far, including a vote of no confidence, the current coalition has received much more than the necessary support. On Thursday, April 17, there will be a second vote of no confidence against the Zhelyazkov cabinet, which was formed just three months ago. | BGNES
