Thanks to Kerka Iotova the hospital has a new children's ward.
A 96-year-old woman donated 100 thousand levs to the hospital in Dimitrovgrad.
The decision to donate the money from the sale of an apartment was made by the Yotova family after they lost their daughter during the Covid-19 pandemic, bTV reports.
"What can we do with so much money. We decided that after we take it we will donate it to charity," explained 96-year-old Kerka Iotova.
The elderly woman has also lost her husband, but that doesn't stop her mission. With the family's money, the former Covid sector of Dimitrovgrad hospital has been turned into a new children's ward. A medic from the hospital said, "These are people who have no other money, but they decided to give it to the hospital so that we can have a new children's ward."
Today, the woman lives modestly, but does not complain and believes her example will be contagious. "People who have more, let them help," she urged. I BGNES
