Zelensky arrived in Oslo for talks with the Norwegian prime minister

On March 19, Zelensky visited neighbouring Finland.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Oslo for talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the Norwegian government said.

Zelensky's visit comes as about 30 military chiefs from countries willing to defend a possible Russian-Ukrainian ceasefire prepare for talks in Britain on a possible peacekeeping force.

“I look forward to constructive discussions on how Norway can best assist Ukraine in both the short and long term,” Støre said.

On 19 March, Zelensky visited neighbouring Finland.

Norway recently announced it would more than double its military and civilian aid to Ukraine this year to 85 billion kronor ($8 billion).

EU leaders were also due to discuss the three-year-old war at a summit in Brussels today, as well as the bloc's defence capabilities as it battles an aggressive Russia.

Following a call with US President Donald Trump, Zelensky said Kiev was “ready” to stop attacks on Russia's energy grid and infrastructure, a day after Russian leader Vladimir Putin agreed to halt such strikes on Ukraine. | BGNES
