Donald Trump poked fun at popstar Taylor Swift after the singer was booed at the Super Bowl during the Kansas City Chiefs' defeat of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Trump - who became the first sitting U.S. president to attend Sunday's Super Bowl showdown in New Orleans - left the game shortly after halftime.
However, the US president couldn't refrain from posting on social media a jibe at Swift, who was in the audience to watch her boyfriend, Chiefs star Travis Kelcey.
They suffered a tough 40-22 defeat at the Superdome.
"The only one who had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift," Trump wrote in a post on his social platform Truth Social.
"She was booed out of the stadium. MAGA is very ruthless!" he added, as quoted by AFP.
Earlier, Trump had shared a post from another account ridiculing Swift, which contrasted Trump's acceptance by Super Bowl fans to that of the singer.
Trump was greeted with thunderous applause when he was shown on the stadium's giant screen paying tribute while singing the US national anthem.
"Trump gets a huge ovation at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift is booed - the world is healed!" the post read.
Swift was a well-known celebrity who supported Trump's rival in the US presidential election Kamala Harris last year.
Her endorsement prompted Trump to write on his social network, "I hate Taylor Swift." | BGNES
