Beyoncé and Jay Z are considering filing a lawsuit against Kanye West after his offensive comments about their twins Rumi and Sir, Page Six reports.
The rapper previously circulated an abusive post in which he called the couple's youngest children "retarded" and said Beyoncé and Jay Z should have resorted to in vitro fertilization.
According to the publication's insiders, Beyoncé and Jay Z are discussing possible steps both personally and through the courts. The source noted that the couple "generally will not tolerate such language" and found West's comments "vulgar and offensive." Meanwhile, Beyoncé and Jay Z "do not intend to comment publicly on Kanye's posts about his children."
Kanye West recently published a new post in which he wrote, "Wait a minute, has anyone ever seen Jay Z and Beyonce's little kids? They are literally retarded. This is why IVF is a blessing. Having retarded children is a choice." He later deleted the post, explaining that he did it not to "be a good person," but because there was a risk his account would be blocked.
Beyoncé and Jay Z have been together for over 20 years and have three children: their eldest daughter Blue Ivy, born in 2012, and twins Rumi and Sir, born in 2017. Unlike Blue Ivy, who attended public events from a young age, the twins rarely appear in public. The couple prefers to keep them out of the spotlight, striving to provide them with a normal life despite their own global fame. However, the children occasionally appear in advertising campaigns for Beyoncé's Ivy Park brand, and Rumi joined her father and older sister at the Super Bowl this February. Sources close to the couple claim that Sir's absence from such events is due to his quiet and withdrawn nature.
Meanwhile, all is not calm in Kanye West's own family. Conflict between the rapper and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian escalated after the announcement of his new song, in which their 11-year-old daughter North sings with rape and sex trafficking accused P Diddy. Kardashian filed a lawsuit with the intent to restrict West's parental rights and block the release of the track.
