Meghan Markle decided to get rich because she realised Prince Harry wasn't as rich as she expected, the Sun reports.

Recently, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, created and announced several new personal business projects. These include Netflix's hit cooking show Love, Megan, the podcast Confessions of an Entrepreneur and her own food brand As Ever. Additionally, Markle collaborates with clothing brands and promotes them on her social media pages. 

Recently, she's started working out a lot more, even her kids are complaining about it. A Sun insider revealed that the reason the Duchess of Sussex is actively pursuing her own projects is her desire to get rich. "She wants to be a billionaire. She wants to have a private jet. She wants to live a certain life," he noted. He said Meghan Markle believed she had hit the jackpot by marrying Prince Harry. 

Despite the fact that the prince had a solid bank account and inheritance, the main finances after Harry's wedding were controlled by the current King Charles III, who then had, among other things, the title of Duke of Cornwall. Around £5 million was then allocated from the Duchy's fund to support the families of both Princes. 

After the coronation of Charles III, control of the fund, along with the title of Duke of Cornwall, passed to Prince William, who was first in line to succeed to the throne and brother of Prince Harry. This means that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry must now rely on Prince William, with whom they have a strained relationship, to receive their royal funds. 

According to an insider, this has made Meghan Markle decide to step down from royal duties. "The assumption is that if you marry an English prince, you get a private jet and the lifestyle that goes with it. That's exactly what Meghan wanted. But when she found out that William and Kate were going to decide how much pocket money they were going to get, she said, 'We need to get out of here,'" the insider said.

Earlier, columnist Marina Hyde found new confirmation of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's impending divorce. According to her, Netflix is not terminating the contracts with Markle and Prince Harry because it is waiting for a guaranteed hit - a sensational interview about the divorce. | BGNES
