If a person constantly hears their own pulse, it could be a sign of an aneurysm in the brain, warned GP Ahmed Abd Elbari. He spoke about the little-known sign of a pre-stroke condition in TikTok, the Daily Mail reports. 

The doctor noted that aneurysms can form in any vessel, but are particularly dangerous if they occur in the brain as they provoke a type of stroke called a subarachnoid haemorrhage. A person can also hear his heart beating if the blood flow in any vessel increases. Most often this is due to the growth of a tumor, usually benign, Elbari said. 

Although pulsatile tinnitus can be a sign of dangerous conditions, it is much more often caused by relatively minor illnesses. Among the possible causes, he identified increased thyroid activity or anemia. In some cases, a similar symptom is observed in pregnant women. | BGNES
