Singer Lady Gaga has confirmed that a sequel to 'Telephone' is in the works.
Back in 2010, the 38-year-old popstar teamed up with Beyoncé for the track from her album 'The Fame Monster' and although the music video ended with a teaser that read "To be continued..." (sequel to follow), Gaga has only just confirmed that something is in the works.
When asked during her appearance on Vanity Fair's "Lie Detector" series if there would be a sequel, she replied, "Yes."
But the performer remained coy about other details, including whether the "Crazy in Love" singer will join her this time around.
Asked if Beyoncé would be involved, she replied, "Maybe."
And when asked if scheduling conflicts were preventing the project from happening, Gaga confirmed that it was not.
In the music video, Lady Gaga is an inmate who is behind bars for murdering her boyfriend, and Beyoncé arrives to save her before the two embark on a murder spree in a diner.
The song, which was originally written by Gaga for Britney Spears before she quit, contains the opening line "Hello, hello, baby, you called I can't hear a thing..." and when asked if she's ever answered the phone like that in real life, the Grammy Award-winning star admitted it's possible.
"I feel like maybe I really have done it before, but maybe not. I'm so bad at this. I just said yes, no and maybe," she shared.
When a member of the team said the lie detector confirmed that she was truthful with that initial answer, Gaga joked that it was "good to know." | BGNES
