What happened today in front of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and the vandalism of the EC Representation building in Sofia is not a Bulgarian protest, the Bulgarian has never personified primitivism. This is a protest of believers in an invincible Russia and is stimulated by the perverse and false defenders of Europe. The true defenders of a free and prosperous Europe should already have condemned this vandalism.
Sadly, for the second time in the last few years, the European Commission building in Sofia has been vandalised by supporters of the 'Revival' party.
Neither it, nor the people who work in it, nor the institution itself are guilty of anything to deserve the anger of the ordinary Bulgarian. The bad thing is that we have politicians who exploit people's ignorance and fears for their own personal enrichment. Instead of working to make their electorate and all Bulgarians live better, they put themselves at the service of foreign geopolitical interests.
This protest comes at a time when several neighbouring countries are encroaching on Bulgaria's sovereignty and what happened in Sofia today is in their favour.
It is clear to any normal Bulgarian citizen that Bulgaria's success in all areas of development is largely due to the fact that we are part of the European Union and that we trade with countries that share the common currency, the euro. And if there is a problem anywhere, it is not with the EU or the euro, but with such extreme politicians who exploit the fact that there are still citizens in Bulgaria who cannot feel the fruits of the success of our membership. Therefore, the way out is one - full forward to the eurozone to reduce inequality in Bulgaria and to take away the power of the populists! | BGNES
