Eva Mendes beyond proud of her husband Ryan Gosling for successful Oscar stunt campaign

Actress Eva Mendes has praised her husband Ryan Gosling after his campaign to introduce stunts for the Academy Awards proved successful.

The 44-year-old Hollywood star used the press conference for the film 'The Fall Guy', in which she portrays the battle-torn stuntman Colt Seavers, to call for the Oscar to be awarded for best stunt.

And after the 'Barbie' star achieved it, his half couldn't be prouder.

Mendes, 51, shared Instagram photos of her husband with director David Leitch and Seth Phillippe, and Gosling holding a sign that read, "Give stuntmen an Oscar."

The actress also posted another photo of her 42-year-old co-star Emily Blunt, who plays Colt's sweetheart Jodie Moreno.

"My man is the best! Unfortunately, success is measured almost only by box office. That's why I'm extremely proud of my man for turning his entire press tour for 'The Fall Guy' into an Oscars stunt recognition campaign. And now, after almost 100 years of stunts not being recognized by the Academy, they are officially a category!!! This is a huge success! And an accomplishment that will last a long time. Congratulations to the amazing stunt community!!!" she wrote.

"By the way, this is the last time I will post a picture of my man and the absolute babe that is Emily Blunt. No more," Eva joked.

Meanwhile, Gosling previously revealed that the couple's two young daughters - 10-year-old Esmeralda and 8-year-old Amada - have expressed their concerns about their father doing daring stunts in the film.

"My kids didn't want me to light up. "Even though I said, 'Well, actually, technically that's the safer thing to do because there's a lot of protective stuff.' (They) were like, 'No. I'm not going to do that. No fire. So I didn't do it,'" Gosling told the Wall Street Journal. | BGNES
