Donald Trump Jr, the eldest son of the US president, will visit Bulgaria at the end of the month. This is reported by the Romanian edition G4Media.

According to the information, he will arrive in Romania on 28 April, a week before the first round of the presidential elections. G4Media quotes sources close to the event's organisers. According to them, Trump Jr's visit to Bucharest is part of an Eastern European tour that includes the capitals of Prague (Czech Republic), Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary), Belgrade (Serbia) and Sofia (Bulgaria).

Bucharest-based businessman Adrian Thies, one of the organisers of the event, confirmed to G4Media.ro that Trump Jr. will come to Bucharest at the end of April. Donald Trump Jr. has no meetings planned with any Romanian politician, as the event he will attend is a business event (Trump Business Vision 2025), G4Media's sources claim.

Independent candidate Victor Ponta recently admitted in an interview that he met on March 11 in Belgrade with exiled oligarch Sebastian Gica during Donald Trump Jr's visit to Serbia, which was carried out at the invitation of President Aleksandar Vucic. Ponta claims that “Gica is not in my entourage”, but does not answer the question of what the owner of the Romanian RTV was doing at this meeting in Belgrade with the son of the American president.
