A 47-year-old patient fatally assaulted a 44-year-old female patient at the Attica Psychiatric Hospital in the Daphne district of Athens.

According to initial reports, the crime was committed around 4am this morning. The perpetrator used a piece of broken glass to attack the woman, causing her severe injuries. Despite doctors' efforts, she succumbed to her wounds, Kathimerini reported.

Authorities were alerted immediately and a police operation is underway to locate the suspect, who is believed to be hiding somewhere on the hospital grounds. | BGNES
