The Council of Ministers adopted a decision declaring 18 March 2025 as a Day of National Mourning in memory of the victims who died in tragic circumstances in the town of Kochani, Republic of North Macedonia.
The Government expresses its condolences to the families of the victims. In their memory, the national flags of state institutions will be lowered by half on Tuesday. 14 people injured in the fire are being treated in Bulgarian hospitals. Our country is ready to receive more victims. The Bulgarian state has also provided transport and accommodation for the relatives of the injured persons to be in contact and support the injured.
BGNES recalls that the fire at the disco "Pulse" on March 16 in Kochani took at least 59 victims, and over 155 people have been hospitalized.
51 patients have been hospitalized outside the country, with the seriously injured sent for treatment abroad: Turkey: 9 patients (3 in Istanbul, 6 in Ankara), Bulgaria: 14 patients (3 in Varna, 3 in Plovdiv, 8 in Sofia), Greece: 5 patients in Thessaloniki, Serbia: 17 patients, Hungary: 2 patients, Lithuania: 4 patients.
There are 84 patients in Skopje and on 17 March another 26 patients were sent to other countries. A total of 58 wounded will remain in North Macedonia. | BGNES
