Lakers leapfrog Memphis in West after cruising past San Antonio

The LA Lakers beat the San Antonio Spurs 125:109 at home in another regular-season game of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Austin Reeves led the way for the winners with 30 points. He hit 5 three-pointers, adding 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Luka Doncic didn't have a great shooting day, but he narrowly missed a triple-double - 21 points, 9 boards and 14 assists. Jordan Goodwin and Dorian Finney-Smith each scored 15 points. Rookie Dalton Knecht scored 13, and Gabe Vincent contributed 11 points. The Lakers were again without their big star LeBron James, who continues to heal from an injury.

Stephon Castle finished with 23 points for the Spurs. Devin Vassell added 17 points and Jeremy Sochan had 15. Keldon Johnson scored 11 points and Sandro Mamukelashvili had 10.

With the win, the Lakers moved ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and are fourth in the West with a 42-25 record. San Antonio is 13th in the same conference with a 28-39 record. The Spurs next host the New York Knicks, while Los Angeles hosts the Denver Nuggets.
