China will impose additional duties of 34% on US products from April 10.
This was announced by the Chinese Ministry of Finance.
The decision comes into effect on April 10 after Washington imposed new high tariffs on Chinese products.
Beijing is also imposing export controls on seven rare earth elements, including gadolinium - commonly used in MRIs - and yttrium, which is used in consumer electronics.
The country has also filed a World Trade Organisation (WTO) case over Trump's decisions against its exports. I BGNES, AFP
