The 10-song album was produced by Andrew Watt and Bernie Taupin, John's longtime creative collaborator, penned the lyrics. There are eight collaborative songs by John and Carlile, as well as one solo song by each. In February, the duo released a music video for the theme song "Who Believes in Angels?". According to the video's description, it is "a kaleidoscopic tribute to the rock and roll angels who continue to inspire the next generation," including Tina Turner and Little Richard.
John and Carlisle also released a video for the album's second track "Little Richard's Bible" hours before its release. The song has a much more upbeat vibe than "Who Believes in Angels."
The pair will perform a concert on Sunday, April 6 called "An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile." The special concert, produced by Fulwell Entertainment, will feature live performances, stories about the couple's friendship and a look back at the album. John and Carlile will also perform some of their individual songs and classics from John's discography, and Carlisle will share an unreleased song. | BGNES
