Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic said the "colour revolution" had failed. He expressed special gratitude to Serbian Patriarch Porfiry, Russian Patriarch Kirill and Russian President Vladimir Putin who, according to him, understood what was happening in Serbia.
"The colour revolution has failed and is over. The plan to liquidate me on 15 March failed. Then, in the afternoon, I discovered the plan of the criminal organisations," Vucic told the pro-government TV channel "Pink".
Asked about the complaint filed by the Democratic Party using a sound cannon at the huge protest in Belgrade on March 15, Vucic replied:
"Nothing special, it's their job to lie every day. Everyone in Serbia knows that there was no sound cannon, the FSB and Aleksandar Bortnikov confirmed this with their decisive and comprehensive analysis... If I were not president, I would say that any fool has the right to bring criminal charges. Another in a series of absurdities and nothing more."
Vucic pointed out that he was still not sure whether he would go to Pope Francis' funeral.
Vucic pointed out that he is still not sure whether he will go to Pope Francis' funeral. "Juro Matsut or I will go. The president of Cyprus is visiting, the next day I am waiting for another important guest in Belgrade. On 27 April I have to commemorate the breakthrough of the Jasenovac concentration camp. From Monday, Tuesday, every day, if I happen to travel to the USA, we will behave normally and work normally. We will rebuild life in Serbia and get the job done. All the people are fed up with the blockades, with the harassment. I will insist on responsibility for this, lest anyone think I am flattering them, because our country had to reduce its growth rate from 4.2 to 3.5%. This is a direct consequence of the chaos and violence that they have carried out over the last 6 months. The direct consequence will be less increase in wages and pensions. I said go back to normal life, let them block anyone they want. If you don't want to, you don't have to learn," the Serbian president said. | BGNES
