Minister of Labour and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov will participate in the opening of the 13th European Forum of Social and Solidarity Economy Entities, which will present good practices in providing employment to people from vulnerable groups. The event, which will be held on 07.04. and 08.04. at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia, is jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) and the National Union of Labour Productive Cooperatives in Bulgaria.

The forum will present products and services created and provided by people from vulnerable groups working in social enterprises and labour-producing enterprises. Their purchase supports the development of the social and solidarity economy in Bulgaria and the creation of more employment opportunities for people in difficulty.

Promoting the social economy is a priority in the work of the MLSP. With an investment under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, the Ministry is implementing a special project, as a result of the activities of which more than 170 social enterprises are already registered in the special register. They employ a total of 1,666 people from vulnerable groups. Most of them are people with permanent disabilities and young people up to the age of 29 who have no previous work experience.

The media will have the opportunity to present best practices for providing employment to people from vulnerable groups, as well as stories about their professional realization thanks to the social and solidarity economy. | BGNES
