US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Bulgaria's National Holiday on March 3rd, BGNES reports.

"On behalf of the United States of America, please accept my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your Liberation Day. After 122 years of diplomatic relations, the friendship and close cooperation between our governments continues to develop. The construction of new U.S.-designed nuclear reactors will make Bulgaria's energy supplies more stable and secure and strengthen our ties," Rubio said in a statement posted on the State Department's website.

"Our defense cooperation, including Bulgaria's recent investments to modernize its armed forces, enhances Bulgaria's security and demonstrates its valuable contributions to NATO, strengthening our collective security. We look forward to continuing our strong friendship and wish all Bulgarians all the best as you celebrate your national day," he added. | BGNES
