The number of people injured in the Russian attack in the Ukrainian town of Sumi has risen to 65, including 14 children, AFP reports.
"65 injured, including 14 children, as a result of an attack on a residential area in Sumi," the regional prosecutor's office in the northeastern city said on social media.
The number of wounded was updated after 28 were reported injured earlier on 24 March.
Russian forces carried out the attack on residential areas and infrastructure facilities, including children's hospitals, said Artyom Kobzar, secretary of the Sumi city council.
Several high-rise buildings and a school were damaged, Governor Volodymyr Artukh said.
The attack comes amid talks to end the war in Ukraine to be held by Russian and U.S. delegations in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on March 24. | BGNES
