Turkey will host a meeting on 15-16 April to discuss the issue of security in the Black Sea following a possible ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
This was announced by Ankara's Defense Ministry, Anatolian News Agency reported.
The meeting at the naval headquarters in the Turkish capital, which will be attended by military representatives of foreign countries, will discuss naval planning to maintain a peaceful situation in the Black Sea, the ministry said in a statement.
Without specifying which countries would attend, the ministry said there would be no Russian officials among the foreign military representatives.
Turkey continues its efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, which began in February 2022.
Ankara is pushing Kiev and Moscow to end the fighting through negotiations, and Turkey is ready for any initiative, including mediation, to lay the foundations for peace.
