The Slovenian guard came within a hair of a triple-double, finishing with 31 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. LeBron James added 21 points, 11 boards and 7 assists. Austin Reeves and Rui Hachimura contributed 16 and 11 points, respectively.
For the visitors, who did not have a three-point day unlike the first game, Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards combined for a total of 52 points, but neither of their teammates reached double-digit points.
Game 3 of the series is Friday night in Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers pulled away with 2-0 wins in their series against the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks, respectively.
The Thunder again left the Grizzlies no chance and won their second home game, this time 118:99, while the Pacers held off the Bucks for a 123:115 victory. | BGNES
