Liverpool have announced that legend Mohamed Salah has re-signed with the club he joined in the summer of 2017. His current deal was due to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season, so it was only a matter of time before he left.
This season alone, the Egyptian has scored 32 goals in just 45 appearances in all competitions – 27 of which have been in the Premier League, making him the top scorer in the world’s top football league. He has also provided 22 assists.
The former Basel, Chelsea and Roma player holds a number of records with Liverpool and it looks like they will continue to grow. Salah has made 394 appearances for the club so far, scoring 243 goals and providing 111 assists in all competitions. Sky Sports reports that the new agreement is until the summer of 2027. | BGNES
