Bulgarians celebrate the National Day - March 3, 147 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.
The main celebrations will be in the capital as well as in all cities of the country.
On March 3, 1878, a preliminary peace treaty was signed, which has remained in history as the Treaty of San Stefano for the termination of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878, symbolically marking the liberation of Bulgaria. | BGNES
