Last week, after a first instance verdict against Republika Srpska President /RS/ Milorad Dodik in the BiH court, the RS parliament passed four unconstitutional laws. These include the law prohibiting the activities of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council and the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on the territory of the entity.
Amendments to the Criminal Code were also adopted, providing for the prosecution of employees of BiH institutions living in RS if they do not implement decisions of the Autonomous Province authorities, as well as the law on "foreign agents", which further restricts the work of civil society.
On Tuesday, 4 March, members of the BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic and Željko Komšić, sent a request for an extraordinary session in connection with the Republika Srpska authorities' attack on BiH's constitutional order. | BGNES
