Sofia Airport is now named after the greatest Bulgarian national hero - Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski

President Rumen Radev issued a decree naming Sofia Airport after the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski. Thus, its official name becomes "Vasil Levski" Sofia Airport.

Decree No. 22 of today, 17 February, is based on Article 98, item 13 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The news comes on the eve of the 152nd anniversary of the death of the Apostle of Freedom. | BGNES
