Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Liverpool on penalties in an epic match.

With a goal from Ousmane Dembele, PSG won the regular 90 minutes 1-0 and leveled the aggregate score of the two matches.

During the 120 minutes, there were many chances for shots that were not converted. After extra time, PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donaruma performed a heroic save on penalty kicks by Darwin Nunes and Curtis Jones and all four of the visitors' shots were converted - by Vitigna, Goncalo Ramos, Dembele and Desiree Douet.

The French champions, who have never won the tournament, qualified for next month's quarter-final match against Aston Villa or Club Brugge.

Villa hosted the Belgian team on Wednesday, March 12, and won 3-1 in the first leg.

Barcelona-Benfica

Lamin Yamal and Rafinha shone in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Benfica.

The Catalans reached the Champions League quarterfinals with a 4-1 aggregate score. They dominated the first half, building on their 1-0 success in the first leg in Lisbon.

Nicolas Otamendi quickly levelled the scores after Rafinha's opening goal, but the visitors were beaten after Barcelona showed brilliant attacking football.

Hans Flick's side will face Borussia Dortmund or Lille in the quarter-finals as they aim to win the competition for the first time since 2015 and the era of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. The club is in search of a potential treble. Barcelona's squad remains unbeaten in 17 games in 2025.

Bayer Leverkusen-Bayern Munich

Harry Kane scored a goal and assisted on another in Bayern's 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen (5-0 aggregate).

Bayern struck early in the second half. Leverkusen applied pressure in attack, but the visitors added a second goal in the 71st minute with a goal from Alfonso Davies.

England captain Harry Kane showed finesse and physicality as he kept Bayern on course for a dream final on home soil.

Inter-Feyenoord

Inter Milan will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals after they eliminated Feyenoord 2-1 in a comfortable 4-1 aggregate win from the two matches.

An early strike from Markus Thuram and a penalty from Hakan Calhanoglu at the San Siro secured Inter's comfortable passage to the quarter-finals.

Simone Inzaghi's side have a chance to repeat the treble won by Jose Mourinho 15 years ago - the league, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League. | BGNES
