Bulgarian foreign minister Georg Georgiev expressed his support for Ukraine and its President Volodymyr Zelensky, BGNES reported.

"Ukraine, be brave, be strong! We are with you!", Georgiev wrote on the social network X.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibikha thanked Georgiev for his consistent support. "Your solidarity means a lot to us," he wrote under his Bulgarian counterpart's post. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov expressed Sofia's support for Kiev in a similar way. This position, however, did not appeal to President Rumen Radev, who described it as a losing one.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received unprecedented support from the leaders of European states and thanked each of them. This support for him was expressed after yesterday's meeting of Zelensky with US President Donald Trump at the White House, during which the latter harshly criticised the Ukrainian leader, accusing him of ingratitude to the US for the support he received.
