The royal has been involved in choosing music for the royal weddings of his sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and will now share his personal playlist to coincide with the special annual celebration.
Apple Music will launch The King's Music Room on March 10 to coincide with Commonwealth Day.
Charles, 76, has personally curated songs from across the Commonwealth, including artists and singers from the 1930s to Afrobeats stars, as well as disco divas and reggae icons.
The King talks about his love of music in a video message recorded in His Majesty's study at Buckingham Palace: 'Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know it has for many other people.
"It has this remarkable ability to bring back happy memories from the deepest recesses of our memory, to comfort us in moments of sadness and to transport us to faraway places.
"But perhaps most of all it can lift our spirits to such an extent, all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy."
In the video, Charles is seen sitting at a large wooden desk adorned with silverware, trinkets and the words "On Air," with the camera also flashing to the Royal Guard playing a rendition of Bob Marley and The Wailers' "Could You Be Loved" on the palace's front porch.
He ends his message with, "So this is what I particularly wanted to share with you - songs that have brought me joy.
"This seemed to me such an interesting and innovative way to celebrate this year's Commonwealth Day. Thank you for listening to me, I wish you all every blessing possible."
The King's playlist includes legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones, alongside contemporary talent such as Davido and RAYE.
Nigerian-American singer Davido performed at the Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, last November, and singer RAYE recently met the monarch when he was given a tour of Apple's headquarters at Battersea Power Station last December.
The King is not the only member of the royal family to have shared his musical tastes with the streaming service in recent years. In 2021, the then Duke of Cambridge (now Prince of Wales) talked about his favourite tracks by artists such as Tina Turner, Shakira and AC/DC in Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk series. | BGNES
